Cathodic Protection Transformer/Rectifiers

Custom-built power supplies designed for precise control, stability, and durability—tailored for impressed current cathodic protection systems in demanding environments.

Engineered Power Delivery for Demanding Conditions

Transformer/Rectifiers are at the heart of any impressed current cathodic protection (ICCP) system. CMP Europe’s T/R units are engineered to meet the exact technical requirements of each project, offering reliable DC output from an AC power supply in both manual and automatic modes.

Built to withstand harsh field conditions, these units are available in air-cooled or oil-cooled designs, with a full range of output capacities, monitoring tools, and protective features.

Product Overview

CMP offers two main types of transformer/rectifiers to suit a wide range of cathodic protection environments and technical needs.

Air-cooled units are preferred for installations in controlled or mild climates where simplicity and low maintenance are priorities.

In contrast, oil-cooled units are ideal for high-output applications or harsh outdoor environments where superior thermal management and long-term durability are critical.

Air-Cooled Transformer/Rectifiers

Ideal for installations where ambient temperatures remain within the normal range and where oil handling is restricted. Compact, efficient, and low-maintenance, air-cooled units are well-suited for both indoor and sheltered outdoor environments.

  • Output Current: 5A to 500A
  • AC Input: 230V / 380V ±15%
  • Max Output Voltage: 50VDC
  • Output ripple: <1%
  • Operating Temp: -10°C to +50°C
  • Manual or automatic (constant potential/current)
  • Thyristor-regulated with analog or digital meters
  • Fully anodized cabinet with integrated handles and test points

Oil-Cooled Transformer/Rectifiers

Designed for higher capacity applications or more extreme environments, oil-cooled units offer improved heat dissipation and enhanced durability. These are often used in outdoor or remote locations where robust performance is essential.

  • Output Current: 5A to 500A+
  • Manual control: 15, 20, 63 steps or stepless
  • Automatic modes: constant current / constant potential
  • Optional features: sunshades, smoothing, fault alarms, surge protection, timers
  • Suitable for indoor or outdoor installations
